Love the app, have used it for years, but the latest version crashes on my iPhone 4 running iOS 7. Please Magellan fix this app!

I am so upset with this..HOW IS THIS NOT FIXED YET?!? People depend on this app to work! This needs to be fixed so that it wont crash on startup every time! I you dont know how to fix then please roll this app back to the older (oct 2012) version from the current update until you have it working 100%.

After the latest update, i can say its the best gps app on app store.

Pretty sad that this app doesnt work on IO7 but the pay by the month app does. Mitac customer service say they are working on it but cant explain why the other app does work. When this app did work it was the best of them

This app would be great if it didnt take so long to reload & recalculate when you take a different route. I had to close this app to use another one because it was taking too long! I wouldve reached my destination by the time this app reloaded! Please fix & update ASAP.

The app as a GPS itself works great HOWEVER this app will NOT sync with my bluetooth enabled 2010 Honda Accord. I explained to the rep that the volume for spoken directions is barely audible, even with the volume control on both the apps settings and the iPhone are set at maximum levels; also with NO radio on and nobody in the car except myself with windows up and shut. I just spoke to tech support to complain about this and it seems the lady did not quite understand what I was talking about. I guess my "Chinese accent" was difficult to understand, seeing that I speak perfect English. I guess thats what we get for exporting our jobs outside the United States - and speaking of which Magellan, why the HELL do I have to press 1 for English? This is total BS! The rep also did not have an answer as to why the app will work with a Motorola T505 bluetooth external speaker I use in my wifes car, but yet will NOT work in my bluetooth enabled car. I have another older Magellan portable GPS model - 3255 or something like that that has bluetooth and DOES work with the bluetooth in my Accord. Why doesnt the app on the iphone work with built-in car bluetooth as well? She couldnt answer that either. My whole point behind my call was for the rep to report that the apps spoken directions are BARELY AUDIBLE and for the department who develop this thing if not for safety reasons as to why it wont work with a bluetooth enabled car to at least create an update to INCREASE the stinkin volume so can hear it! One example: My wife and I flew to San Diego recently and we rented a car. I brought with me a windshield mount so I could see the directions provided by GPS but again, we could barely hear the audio while driving around. The problem is NOT iPhone volume because when I play music through the phones speakers the volume level works as its supposed to. For some reason the apps volume is pretty bad. Otherwise, this app works great for directions, just like Magellans other portable products. As it is right now, if you purchase this thing, you get a full functioning GPS, but it wont work with your bluetooth enabled car. At least not for my 2010 Accord it wont. You would have to purchase an external bluetooth speaker to hear your directions! 5 stars for this being a Magellan reliable GPS, 0 stars for the very poor audio on this app, which averages to a 3 out of 5 stars...

Ive been using the app for a few years, and it always worked great. But when I got my new car with the blue tooth built in, it stopped giving me audible directions. At first I thought that maybe it was because when I sync my phone to the blue tooth in the car, all if the sounds on my phone go away except for the ring when someone calls. But even when my phone is not hooked up to blue tooth, I still have no sound in the app! I dont know what happened. Im trying to redownload to see if that helps. I dont know what to do otherwise because there arent any other GPS apps out there except for google maps. And Im not terribly fond of google maps.

I dont know does negative reviews, this app work perfect maybe does people needs to upgrate they phone or they dont know how to used this app.

Ive been using this app for several years, ever since its initial release. Hands down it is simply the best; best user interface and ease of use. I wish they updated it more often and hope they do so soon for IOS 8 but thankfully it still works on the new IOS without problem. I use a Bluetooth FM transmitter with my phone in my car and have had no issues with the audio volume

When selecting, "Fastest" route the app does not always select the best route. Needs to allow modifying the route. The app has taken me off highways on routes with tons of lights adding a significant amount of time to my trip where the Waze app kept me on major highways for the same trip with significant time savings.

Do not buy this app. The maps havent been updated in years. The interface is great but if the app doesnt know about the new roads then it makes the app useless.

Much better than the portables that run off cigarette lighter.

Ive always contended that this app was the single most costly purchase I ever made from the AppStore, and totally worth it. The on-board maps and offline navigation in areas without cell service without manually having to download multiple, size-limited maps beforehand gave it the edge over Google, while Magellans history in satnav gave it the edge over like-featured peers. But... At around 2 years since any significant map data upgrades, my enthusiasm now wanes. Routes and turn-by-turn instructions are becoming increasingly outdated where new bypasses and interchange modification have sprung up. I can no longer depend on this app as I did. Meanwhile, competitors in this class that are more serious and conscientious in supporting their AppStore customers look better and better. If Magellan gets with the program with their updates, this app could be great again. Until then, Im afraid I cannot recommend it to anyone who might need to depend upon it being accurate and up-to-date.

This app is great. Or at least was... It is easier to use than google maps. Can you update it for iPhone 6??? There are also several glitches. When you try to delete an address in the history page, it instantly shuts down. Consistently. This was an expensive app when it was released. Can you update the app??? Thanks

Let me start indicating that as a non-free app for navigation, Magellan was in my opinion the best out there (in comparison to the top six well known apps for navigation). Some minor glitches, but, overall it was a superior one. Friendly, easy to use but yet...powerful. The first grave error committed was the lack of road updates, (honestly, I cannot remember when was the last time this app was updated). Magellan Committed the second error by removing the Google search from it, making the app a handicap one (in my opinion). This is when my friends and I decided to utilize a different one. As a customer, I do not understand the logic, standalone units from Garmin as well as Magellan and TomTom are becoming obsolete. Is it the lack of financial means or maybe the company is not looking into another alternative, but, no matter what it is, is a true shame. Google maps as well as Waze are picking up the tab rather quickly with easy to utilize and strong navigational apps. Navigational apps are becoming more social, not that I care, but it is a reality. Strong competition from non-free navigational apps like iGO, Navigon, scout, Sygic, and copilot, are strongly increasing the competition – which I like. Currently there is not a perfect app, I wish I could merge a few of them to obtain the ideal one, but, that is just a dream. Magellan, you need to improve your app, why letting a product with so much potential go to waste. Respectfully a friend

I hate writing bad reviews, but they need to fix this app. I contacted customer service (which was not helpful in the end but they get 5 stars themselves for trying urgently and consistently). I explained how it always misplaces me, cant locate me for a long time, overshoots or offsets my position, and worst of all overheats my phone. I took it out of its cradle after a 20 min drive with the app running and my phone was EXTREMELY hot. So sorry guys, but I cant keep using this. It worked great when I bought it, but since the update its been losing me all the time. What good is a GPS that doesnt know where I am? Hope you fix it soon, but its too late for me.

I own 15 other navigation apps, and none of them have the ancient maps produced by Magellan. Having said that, Magellan has one of the best U/I designs. Easily 5 star with current maps, otherwise they deserve the 1 star I gave them.

Since iOS 8.4 crashes in background all the time. Please fix the app I use it all the time
