Wish they would fix issues. Google search crashes the app, as does random issues requiring reinstall. App is in need of an update. Last one was October. Feel like Magellan have up on the app.

Update July 2012: Please advise if app will be discontinued soon. I travel weekly and directions no longer accurate in several locations; app not aware of new streets, etc. I assume that no updates, no fixing Google, means app should be removed from iTunes?? May 2013: I love this app and have used it for a long time. Its the best…when it works. The POI search crashes the app every time. That includes the native "Search by Name" or categories, and Google search. App is pretty useless without it. Please fix!!

app crashes when searching with google, please fix! what a waste of $50

No update for a year, no iPad version. No customer support.

Disappointed. Maps not updated and the interface is is not polished. App last updated more than one year ago and crashes occur with iOS 7.

Google search is crucial, they really need to fix the app crashing every single time you try it. It works but google search is completely unusable.

Crashes on startup and freezes the iPhone.

This GPS app used to be the best of the bunch, in my opinion, but Magellan seems to have virtually abandoned it. It was over a year between their last update and this one, in which time the app became increasingly buggy with each iOS sub-version update. For example, Google searches made it crash, many addresses in the contact list simply weren’t recognized as valid, and even entering addresses manually was extremely buggy. I was about ready to throw in towel and shell out another ~$50 for a different GPS app, when I discovered this app was finally updated. Needless to say, I was incredibly disappointed when I fired it up this morning, and discovered that it is completely unusable, because it freezes every time on the startup screen. I hope they fix this soon, and I hope they fixed the other serious bugs they had in the previous version, or this app (and the company’s reputation, as far as I’m concerned) will likely be going the way of the dinosaurs.

Was working fine on my iphone 4 with ios 7. I wanted to use it today but it demanded access to bluetooth devices and I denied this access because I did not want to use bluetooth. It crashed and refused to work again! Update: I removed the app from my iphone and reinstalled it. It made a fresh start. This time I accepted everything it wanted including the bluetooth access. Now it working again.

The recent update made it a junk completely. I should ask a refund. I was running it under iOS 6. After removing and reinstalling it from iTunes, it worked since. Good luck!

I used to use this app 3 or 4 times a week but since the latest update when I open the app it says Magellan on the screen and nothing else.. I recently purchased a stand alone unit for my wife but will be returning it for fear that the same thing will happen to it

Love the app, but extremely slow updates (once per year). Current version will not even open. Id ask for a fix, but based on Magellans history... Not willing to wait a year for the fix. Avoid this app until its repaired. Update: App still doesnt work on iPhone 5 after recent patch.

No issues at all with the latest update. Been using this app for years now and really like it. The only issue I have is that sometimes they are very slow in updating it. Dont know why Im reading that others are having issues with this update. On my iPhone 5s running 7.04 its working great without any issues. I just hope they dont wait years to update this app the next time it needs updating because it really is the best GPS app that Ive found.

Someone put a lot of effort in this app - interface is great and usability is probably the best across all the apps out there. It would notify you if you forget it in background ins tead of draining battery. UI is easy to use while driving. It has one killer feature for anyone listening to podcasts and autiobooks and likes to glance at the map while driving - ability to pause audio and give only short audio signal when your turn approaches, giving you audio notice but distracting less from audio listening experience. OneTouch holds all your frequent destinations. Someone was actually driving a lot with this app, and made it easy to use on the road. That puts it head and shoulders above any other GPS app (and I tried most of other well known GPS apps in the App Store). HOWEVER, I can’t recommend it because company is not committed to it. iOS 7 version was long in coming. Google Local Search broke, then is MIA in this version. Instead we have Yelp and FourSquare occupying screen real estate. I wish that people who did user experience design on this app are in charge of user experiences of other GPS apps - they would be an asset. Wish I could also say something positive about management of Magellan, but frankly nothing comes to mind. Unfortunately, while in a short run UX designers provide value, in the long run future of the product is determined by quality of its management. I am not an optimist.

I am a driver, I drive over 100k per year. Ive tried every app out on the market and while I think a few do compare Ive personally always like Roadmate. Ive never had issues until recently. I do animal rescues as well and last night I went about 20 miles out to pick a rescue up. I was tired so not paying as close attention as I normally would. Its a major city so it should not be as off as it was, anyhow. Im just listening, turn right, turn left, ect... Then I realize its taken me in circles over and over again. I pull over restart the app and route then it stops the neverending loop and takes me to the wrong street. I didnt know it until I went to knock on the house number and the lady had no clue. So I finally just opened maps and used it. I was a block and a half away from my destination which is unacceptable. I wish I had not updated this app. I was happy with it as it was. Please fix it or ill be dropping this to 3 stars. Give me the old app please, the new features are nice but Id rather have it working again.

Used to work reasonably well. About a year ago, it started placing my car about 300 ft ahead of where it is. As a result, useless in unfamiliar city driving -- lost my way innumerable times at intersections (it starts giving you directions as if you overshot the turn it told you to make while you didnt), drove me around in circles. A serious problem at an unfamiliar place in rural PA: the app didnt know a bridge was closed (for 2 years already as I discovered online later) and insisted on bringing me back to it no matter how much I tried to get away from it to find another crossing. Was eventually "rescued" through stopping repeatedly and checking Google Maps. Both failures ridiculous at that price.
